The 36-year-old joined the Rossoneri last summer to replace Željko Kalac who was released by the club on mutual consent.

Christian Abbiati #32

The 33-year-old is expected to be AC Milan’s first goalkeeper. He rejoined Milan in the summer of 2008 after a loan spell in Atletico Madrid.

DEFENDERS 

Mario Yepes #76

The 34-year-old center back joined Milan on a free transfer after few years with Chievo. He will be a bench warmer for the most of the tournament.

Burno Montelongo #22

The 22-year-old is at Milan on loan from Club Atlético River Plate (Montevideo); not many know too much about this right-back.

Daniele Bonera #25

The 29-year-old could be Allegri’s first choice for the right-back position. He played few games in that position before and looked solid, but bit slow.

Thiago Silva #33

The 25-year-old has a secured place in Allegri’s eleven alongside Nesta. Had a good season and could have even a better one.

Alessandro Nesta #13

The 34-year-old is still one of the best center-backs in the world. As long as he’s fully fit, he will start the game for Milan.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos #15

The 22-year-old center-back/right back joined Milan permanently from Genoa. Could be Allegri’s right-back.

Massimo Oddo #17

The 33-year-old extended his contract in the summer and is set to compete for a starting spot in Massimiliano Allergi’s line as a right-back.

Marek Jankulovski #18

The 33-year-old is unlikely to be Allegri’s first choice for the left-back position. Another bench warmer.

Gianluca Zambrotta #19

The 33-year-old will play his third year as Milan player. He provides good alternatives on both flanks of the defense.

Luca Antonini #77

The 28-year-old has made a huge progress throughout the last couple of years. Secured place as Milan’s left-back.

MIDFIELERS 

Gennaro Gattuso #8

The 32-year-old is far away from his glory days, although, he always adds enthusiasm. Eleventh season as a Rossonero, but no XI place this time.

Clarence Seedorf #10

The 34-year-old in not at his prime but he still provides solid games. No secured place in the starting eleven.

Rodney Strasser #14

The 20-year-old, who has been promoted from the Primavera team, will play here and there but he’s still too young to have a place in Allegri’s XI.

Mathieu Flamini #16

The 26-year-old could not repeat his Arsenal form in Black & Red, but will fight for a starting place

Ignazio Abate #20

The 23-year-old has great speed but has to work a lot on all the other skills. Will probably be a sub.

Andrea Pirlo #21

The 31-year-old is the motor and the head of Milan. Very important player, who will start in almost every match.

Massimo Ambrosini #23

The 33-year-old is the team’s captain but his place is not guaranteed.

Kevin-Prince Boateng #27

The 23-year-old joined Milan on loan with an option to buy from Genoa this summer. Very skillful and could be used a lot this season.

FORWARDS

Alexandre Pato #7

The 20-year-old is one of Milan’s most important men. Very decisive and if he’s fit, will play for sure.

Filippo Inzaghi #9

The 37-year-old is still a great striker, but his time has passed. Super-sub.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic #11

The 28-year-old joined from Barcelona on loan with option to buy. Will play most of the matches this year for Max Allegri’s side.

Robinho #70

The 26-year-old Brazilian is Milan’s last transfer. He joined the Rossoneri from Manchester City but it remains unknown whether he will start every game.

Ronaldinho #80

The 30-year-old looks great again. Great assists and goals. Likely to play a lot of matches this year.

Nnamdi Oduamadi #90

The 20-year-old will probably sit on the bench. Young and promising but with the Brazilian’s trio taking over the attack, he’d find it hard to play.
